A power engineering career

Power Engineering is a discipline within Electrical Engineering that deals with everything in the power industry from electric power generation, distribution, and transmission, right through to energy management, electricity markets, renewable energy, electric vehicles and process electrification. Power Engineering professionals are highly sought out globally, with numerous opportunities and potential for a career for life.
Check out careers.govt.nz to see information about being an electrical engineer in NZ, and see the Electricity Authority website to learn about how electricity works and for a description of the New Zealand electricity sector.
Check out these short videos produced by one of our Premium Members, Transpower, to learn about the electricity system in New Zealand and its future.
