Be part of New Zealand's energy journey

Get up to $13,000 to study a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Canterbury or University of Auckland. Aruhiko PEET offers scholarships on behalf of all its members as the Aruhiko Power Engineering Excellence Trust Incoming First-Year Scholarship and Aruhiko Power Engineering Excellence Trust Undergraduate Scholarship, as well as some individual company and regional scholarships. An outline of what is available is below, please check the full regulations for details and eligibility.

Incoming First-Year Scholarships at University of Canterbury

Aruhiko PEET
Up to twelve scholarships of $2,000 for incoming First Year applicants.

Genesis Energy
Up to five scholarships of $2,000 for incoming First Year applicants, for students who originate from the communities near Genesis Energy sites including Huntly, Tongariro, Waikaremoana and Tekapo.

Apply as a University of Canterbury Incoming First-Year

Incoming First-Year applications close 7 August and are awarded for the following year of study (applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date).

Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Canterbury

Aruhiko PEET
Up to eight scholarships available to the value of $3,000 in Second Year. 
Up to eight scholarships available to the value of $3,000 in Third Year. ​Up to eight scholarships available to the value of $5,000 in Fourth Year.

​Up to four scholarships available to the value of $3,000 in Part III. Up to four scholarships available to the value of
$5,000 in Part IV.

Undergraduate applications open 18 February 2025 and close 1 April 2025. Scholarships are awarded in the same year of study.
